Coles raises the woof for Guide Dogs with 4-week fundraiser

We’re proud to announce the launch of the second national Coles x Guide Dogs fundraising campaign, aimed at supporting the training, health, and wellbeing of Guide Dogs across Australia.

Building on the success of last year’s campaign, this initiative continues the long-standing partnership between Coles and Guide Dogs Australia, a connection that dates back decades. Together, we’re helping to provide life-changing companionship and independence to Australians living with low vision and blindness.

From Wednesday 23 April until Tuesday 20 May, as part of Coles’ Pet Essentials campaign, Coles will donate 5 cents to Guide Dogs for every dog food and treat purchased at Coles in-store or online to help fund the training of future Guide Dogs*.

For Sue, an active 70-year-old Client from Queensland, the connection with her Guide Dog Vegas has been nothing short of transformative. After losing her vision unexpectedly to optic neuritis, Sue faced a future she never anticipated but meeting Guide Dog Vegas changed everything.

“Right from the first moment, there was a connection. It was like she had chosen me too. I knew there and then that it was a match meant to be,” says Sue.

With Vegas by her side, Sue regained her confidence and even celebrated a milestone birthday with a skydive!

Funds raised through the 2025 Coles Pet Essentials campaign will help breed, raise, and train future Guide Dogs, ensuring they can provide essential support to people who rely on them to navigate their homes, workplaces, and local community.

“For over 60 years we have been breeding, training, and looking after the health of our Guide Dogs. Coles’ support helps give every dog the best start on their journey to becoming a reliable assistance animal and trusted companion for Australians with low vision and blindness. You can help support Guide Dogs at Coles by shopping for dog food or treats in-store or online, with some great savings and value across its Pet Essentials range from Wednesday 23 April until Tuesday 20 May. Coles customers can also support Guide Dogs year-round by dropping loose change into a Guide Dogs Donation Dog located in more than 800 Coles supermarkets across Australia.
