How to access newsletters and emails via your screen reader or mobile device

If you have low vision and would like to increase the text size on your screen, simply hold the Ctrl key and press the + key.

If you are using a windows computer with a screen reader, you can move quickly from one article to the next by pressing the ‘h’ key on your keyboard. To move to the previous article, hold down ‘shift’ and press ‘h’. Once you hear the title of an article you wish to read, press the down arrow key to begin reading.

For links contained in the email, the screen reader will say ‘link’ before announcing the name of the link. Press enter on the keyboard to open the link. Alternatively press the ‘tab’ key to move forward through all the links in the email. Hold down ‘shift’ and press ‘tab’ to move in the opposite direction.

If you are using an iPhone or iPad with VoiceOver, move the rotor (virtual dial on the screen) to headings, and then flick down with one finger to move from one article to the next. Flick up with one finger to move to the previous article. Once you hear the title of an article you wish to read, flick right with one finger to begin reading.
